Every email message includes a
block of text at the top that is referred to as the header. The header contains
details about the message, including the sender's information, the recipient's
information, the servers that handled the message as it traveled from the sender
to the recipient, etc. However, many email clients don't display the header information by default. |
A trusted site is a website that you trust not to damage your computer.
If you set the security level of your Internet Explorer® browser to
High, so that you do not access websites that might damage your
computer, you may be unable to access a specific website that you
trust. To access the website, you can add the URL of the website to
your Trusted Sites list or change your security level to Medium or
lower. When using a high security level, you need to add the Web
application URLs to your Trusted Sites list.
NOTE: If you are running Windows Vista, you must
add the site with both "http" and "https." Also, trusted sites may open in a new
browser window.
To Add a Trusted Site in Internet Explorer
- From the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click
Internet Options.
- Click Security.
- Click Trusted Sites.
- In the Security level for this
zone box, check your security level. You may need to do one of the
following:
- If it is set to High, use the slider to change it to a
Medium or lower security level.
- If it is set to Custom, click Default Level, and then use
the slider to change it to a Medium or lower security
level.
NOTE: If you are running Windows Vista, verify
that Enable Protected Mode is NOT selected.
- Click the Sites button.
- In the Add this website to the zone field, type the URL for
the trusted website.
- De-select Require server verification for all sites in this
zone.
- Click Close.
- On the Internet Options window, click
OK.
NOTE: Mozilla Firefox® does not specifically
offer a trusted sites setting. However, you can set allowed sites for the
limited purpose of installing cookies and add-ons. From the
Tools menu, select Options and go to the
Security tab. |

Yes. Our email accounts include
our state-of-the-art Virus Protection system that automatically blocks infected
email message attachments that may damage your computer with destructive
viruses. Virus scanning occurs every time our servers receive an incoming
attachment. Virus Protection is in place for Web-Based Email, POP, and IMAP
accounts so that any email messages containing an infected attachment are
blocked. |

Email forwarding and email are two
different services we offer for retrieving your email. Email enables you to
send, receive, and access your email from Web-Based Email or using a client
application. Email forwarding allows you to direct incoming messages from one
email address to another email address. When an email message is sent to your forwarded email address, our mail servers
redirect the message to the email address you specify. NOTE:Email messages sent to your email forwarding
account are not stored on our servers, but are simply forwarded.
You cannot setup the same email address for both an email account
and an email forwarding account. For example, if you create an email
account for email@coolexample.com then you cannot also create an email
forwarding account for email@coolexample.com. HOWEVER you can
set us an email account to access normally and add cc
so a copy of the email goes to another email too. Uses for the
original email include: On vacation and only want to check
this set of emails; You are not able to access the normal email
address; Someone is looking over your shoulder and you don't want
them to see your regular emails; You want someone else to check
your email for you but only this email.
Note: If you primarily check your email through one email address,
it is recommended that you set automatic clean up features so you won't
be surprised with hundreds or thousands of email if you don't check
the regular email for a while.
If you would like to take advantage of the features of a regular email
account, but would still like to receive a second copy of your messages at
different email address, you can use the carbon copy feature.

A catch-all email account is an address that is specified to
receive all messages that are addressed to an incorrect email address for a
domain. For example, you have three email addresses set up for coolexample.com;
info@coolexample.com, sales@coolexample.com, and webmaster@coolexample.com, you
can set up info@coolexample.com as a catch-all email account. Then, any email
messages sent to manager@coolexample.com (or any other invalid email address),
are sent to the catch-all account (info@coolexample.com). |
You can always use Web-Based Email to send and receive email
messages. But you also can view your email with an email client.
To access your email through an iPhone®, add an account with the
